Olive Pink Botanic Gardens is a popular destination for visitors to Alice Springs and the Local Community attracting over 45 000 visitors per year. OPBC hosts an increasing number of events including the desertSMART EcoFair, film festivals, concerts, conferences, weddings and functions. The responsibility to act as a demonstration to the local community and visitor’s in best practice waste management is core to OPBC’s sustainable vision.

This funding is to develop a strategy and purchase the equipment necessary for the implementation of an effective demonstration waste management system.
