Parkinsonia control on Legune Coastal Floodplains

The Legune Coastal Floodplains are an internationally important turtle, shore and water bird habitat. This project aims to reduce the density of Parkinsonia and prevent Mimosa pigra from reestablishing itself on the floodplains. It will provide employment and capacity building opportunities for Indigenous rangers, and demonstrate to surrounding pastoral properties the value of engagement with local Indigenous ranger groups for NRM work.
