ABC Rural News: AACo to buy Darwin land for northern abattoir

The Australian Agricultural Company will purchase 600 hectares of land near Darwin for its northern abattoir project. Chris Brady, from the Thamarrurr Rangers, says about 200 people have been paid to pick more than two tonnes of the fruit, which is putting money into the disadvantaged community.
