The Precision Pastoral Management Tools Project is seeking three commercial cattle stations to be involved in a two-year trial of their new technology, the Precision Pastoral Management System. The Precision Pastoral Management System will combine multiple remote technologies to record and analyse the performance of cattle and pasture for individual stations. Submissions close on the 31st of May, 2013.

Pastoralists in the Gascoyne River catchment area will soon be able to measure the health of their rangelands thanks to a monitoring tool developed by the Gascoyne Catchments Group. Developed in 2009 with funds from the State government, the self-assessment and reporting tool records and monitors changes in the ecological condition of the rangelands throughout the Gascoyne region.
