Improved soil condition through improved total grazing management across 506 000ha of WA pastoral land will be achieved. This follows renewed interest by pastoralists wanting to implement their Ecologically Sustainable Rangelands Management plans since the break of a seven-year drought. This project will quantify the potential for sustainably intensifying production on the NT Barkly Tablelands through adaptive grazing principles. Producer trials will be established to demonstrate practices that increase herd productivity, contribute to soil carbon sequestration, maintain productive native pasture ecosystems and increase water use efficiency.
