Rangelands NRM WA eNews: Indigenous Environmental Management Plans piloted in the Midwest

Rangelands NRM in partnership with the Midwest Indigenous Landholder Service has embarked on two pilot projects in the Midwest that will benchmark the environmental status of Mt Wittenoom and Ullawarra Stations. The process incorporates the use of local indigenous knowledge and science to formulate an Environmental Management Plan. (April 2013)

ABC Rural News: Landmark deal in the Kimberley between conservationists and Indigenous community

The Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) has entered into a unique partnership with an Indigenous community to take over the management of Tableland Station in the Kimberley. AWC will sub-lease the station from the Yulmbu community for $50,000 a year for the next 45 years. (Tuesday, 12/06/2012)
