A blame game has erupted over a threat by Queensland Premier Campbell Newman to deploy his own "bat squad" to deal with colonies close to populated areas. Mr Newman has accused councils of not doing enough, but the Local Government Association of Queensland refutes the claim and says a well-informed response is needed. (Wednesday, 27/03/2013)
