ABC Rural News: Bilbies pushing north and into cattle country

A population of bilbies has been discovered near the homestead at Nicholson Station on the Western Australian/Northern Territory border. The discovery is a couple of hundred kilometres north of the areas normally associated with the endangered marsupials. (Monday, 13/8/2012)

One of Australia's rarest birds, the princess parrot, has been discovered on Newhaven Reserve, about 500 kilometres north-west of Alice Springs.
