Terrain NRM eNews: 500 trees planted for cassowaries at Bingil Bay

Cassowaries in the Bingil Bay area have larger, safer and better connected habitat as a result of local residents clearing weeds and planting 500 trees on a council reserve. With funding support from Rainforest Rescue, Terrain NRM organised the tree planting event on Sunday 17th February, where nearly 40 locals planted 500 trees. (Thursday, 21/02/2013)

Management Project - Protecting critical aquatic ecosystems of the Northern Holroyd Plain Aggregation

The high ecological values of the Northern Holroyd Plain Aggregation will be protected and restored by reducing disturbance by pigs, cattle and horses and managing weeds such as parkinsonia, hymenachne and rubber vine.
