ABC Rural News: Weeds flourish in the wake of Queensland floods

Url:
www.abc.net.au/rural/news/content/201110/s3332442.htm

Following summer flooding in Queensland, an increase in the spread of weeds has been seen. A number of noxious plants have been carried along rivers and overland to places they've never been seen before. The State Herbarium in Brisbane offers a free plant identification service. Weeds have not been the only plants spread by the flooding; some specimens handed in for identification have been native species not seen during the years of drought.
